Ranch One

Our latest formulation, Ranch One™, turns a new page in the Canyon Ranch philosophy regarding supplementation: “Less is more.” We have selected the best, most bio-available, broad-spectrum nutrients and premium raw materials at reasonable levels. When looking for the highest quality, simple, one-pill-a-day, our doctors and nutritionists just could not find the perfect combination. So, we created it ourselves.
Designed to complement your diet. Even a person with a healthy diet can benefit from additional essential nutrients. This formula contains supportive amounts of essential vitamins and minerals as well as other nutrients with known health benefits. A foundation for the other Canyon Ranch formulas. With lower dosages of a broad spectrum of ingredients, Ranch One meshes well with any other supplements from our line to develop a custom formulation for you, without adding too many pills.
Just one capsule. Too much of a good thing … well, just isn’t a good thing. One small capsule is easy to take every day, and is well-suited for those who have difficulty swallowing, as the capsule may be pulled apart and the contents mixed with food if you prefer.
Mixed carotenoids. Rather than just beta carotene, this supplement includes a mix of the carotenoid pigments found in nature and essential for human health. A mix of these important pigments more closely approximates the combination you would get in a variety of vegetables and fruits.
No pre-formed vitamin A or retinol. Concerns about the safety of too much retinol or preformed vitamin A led us to the decision not to include it in our formula, but to provide instead the precursor to vitamin A, beta-carotene. Recently, taking excess supplemental retinol was linked to low bone density. Most people get adequate retinol from their diets.
Natural, mixed tocopherols and tocotrienols. Rather than providing a high potency of the essential vitamin E, we instead chose to provide a lower dose of a much higher-quality form. The vitamin E family includes four forms of tocopherol and four of a similar substance called tocotrienol. Most supplements that contain vitamin E provide only one of these eight – alphatocopherol – and it is often the synthetic form that is far less bioavailable than the natural form. Ranch One provides a mix of all eight naturally occurring forms of vitamin E – a broader, higher-quality nutritional balance at a lower overall dosage.
Activated coenzyme forms of most of the B vitamins. The physiological role of most B vitamins begins with binding to a coenzyme. This activated form is then ready to increase biochemical reactions in cells. We have included the activated forms or the form that binds to the coenzyme of thiamin (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), niacin (vitamin B3), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), and pantothenic acid. This helps insure a higher use among people who may have genetic differences in the ability to bind to the coenzyme.
Activated form of folate. With the widespread fortification of folic acid in our food supply, we chose a lower dose of a higher-quality supplement: Metafolin® L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF). Unlike folic acid, this active form of folate is absorbed and utilized directly and is the most beneficial form to support homocysteine metabolism.
